U.S. Senator Barbara A. Mikulski Endorses Frank Kratovil
Tells Talbot Audience Kratovil has “The Right Stuff”

U.S. Senator Barbara A. Mikulski endorsed Frank Kratovil, candidate for Maryland’s First Congressional District, at the Talbot Democratic Forum’s annual meeting on March 2 at a packed Avalon Theater in Easton.

“Frank Kratovil has the character and values that will allow him to put his patriotism into action,” Maryland’s senior senator told the packed house. “Frank Kratovil has the Right Stuff to serve in Congress.”

“Frank clearly has a grasp of today’s needs and the long range needs of the First Congressional District,” Senator Mikulski continued, citing Kratovil’s commitment to expanding access to higher education, addressing the need for affordable health care, and a commitment to a cleaner environment.

“Frank appreciates that the Chesapeake Bay is more than just something pretty to look at,” Senator Mikulski explained. “He understands that restoring the Chesapeake Bay means restoring jobs and livelihoods.”

“Senator Ben Cardin and I need a partner in the House of Representatives who will be a voice for the First Congressional District,” Senator Mikulski said.

“The Shore needs Kratovil, Maryland needs Kratovil, and America needs Kratovil. I am proud to endorse Frank Kratovil for Congress,” Senator Mikulski said without hesitation.

“Senator Mikulski continues to be the most popular elected official in the First Congressional District because of her reputation as a straight talker and a fighter for issues important to all Marylanders,” Kratovil remarked. “I pledge to represent the First District with that same spirit and energy.”

Frank Kratovil is the twice-elected State’s Attorney for Queen Anne’s County. Kratovil was first elected State’s Attorney for Queen Anne’s County in 2002 by unseating a four-term incumbent. Kratovil, 39, his wife Kimberly and four sons reside in Stevensville on Kent Island.
